An exploration of a new identity system for ANERA (American Near East Refugee Aid) a nonprofit organization that focuses on improving the lives of refugees.

The goal of the design was to bring further awareness to the refugee crisis, promotes site traffic, and inspires personal responsibility and activism. "ANERA" became "NEAR" to be more memorable, as well as communicating a message of bringing aid within the reach of refugees.
Sofia Pro Soft was chosen because of its modern inclusivity to appeal to a wider age demographic. Avenir communicates a stable and sure-footed body copy that is readable and compliments Sofia Pro’s rounded nature.

Teamed up, these two typefaces create an environment that encourages friendly organization in the face of refugee relief efforts.
Business cards and letterhead reflect the brand identity through consistent use of typography, illustration, and color.
T-shirts and buttons are designed to be sold in local businesses to raise donations in additional ways outside the website.
The website is designed to be fully responsive and fit any screen. At smaller screen sizes the navigation bar compresses and the four-column grid condenses into two-column grid.
