PRSA awards honor outstanding contributions to the public relations profession. Every year in December, the Greater Cleveland Chapter holds an awards ceremony. Falls & Co. was the presenting sponsor in 2023 and I was tasked with creating all of the assets for the event.
The theme of the PRSA 2023 CLE Rocks Awards was "Rock of Ages," inspired by the song of the same name by Def Leppard. This song inspired the grungy, alternative art direction of the creative.
We wanted the event to feel like a festival or concert. To do this, we created a merch table where buttons and t-shirts were sold to promote the event.
The poster designs were inspired by traditional rock poster motifs.
The awards event had 27 winning categories (i.e. best of show, best use of influencer promotion, best digital campaign, etc.). Each category had a "gold," "silver," and "bronze" winner. Gold winners were presented with a poster as part of their award. I created a custom illustration for each category (see a few samples above).
In addition to the gold winners, I created the presenting poster that greeted guests at the door, as well as posters that were set up around the venue to go along with the theme.
